Mind Monmouthshire’s Rural Information, Advice and Assistant worker can help. Our experienced worker is ready to offer farming and rural workers focused practical and confidential support to you. Don't cope alone.

How we can help

We offer:

  • The opportunity to talk to someone, be listened to

  • Support you to interact with other professional bodies e.g, Family Services and Farming Network Services

  • Liaise with other agencies and assist with paperwork

  • Assistance to apply for benefits

  • A listening ear with an understanding of farming and rural pressures

  • Opportunity to develop better coping strategies

  • Access to counselling services

  • Knowledge of the farming sector and support available through grants and agencies

Who is eligible?

 

If you live in Monmouthshire and work in the rural or farming community, you will be eligible for support. This includes:

  • Farmers and farm contract workers

  • Livestock management or movement

  • Agricultural services

  • Forestry services

  • Fisheries workers

  • Equestrian services

  • Small holdings

  • Animal welfare workers

  • Food production workers

  • Families of the above
