Information & Advice

Our Information and Advice desk is the gateway into many of our services.  Our experienced staff can find out what’s important to you, and how we can help. An in house referral to one of our other services may be appropriate, or alternatively support to access another agency.

What information and advice can I receive?

We can help you to talk through your options and enable you to make informed choices about your wellbeing;  sometimes having an independent ‘sounding board’ can make the way forward clearer for you.  We can give you information about a whole range of things, such as:

·       How the statutory services operate locally;

·        Signposting and help to access those services and other support mechanisms available such as carers’ support and assessments;

·        Housing related issues e.g. getting help at home, applying for housing grants for adaptations and repairs, access to accommodation, help to prevent homelessness etc.

·        Financial information e.g. benefits, direct payments, money issues;

·        The range of other agencies and services available across the Monmouthshire area.
